Graduate route
The Graduate route is available to international students who successfully complete their degree at the undergraduate level or above at a UK Higher EducationProvider with a track record of compliance. International students present in the UK before 6 April 2021 will still be eligible for the two-year graduate route if you meet the other requirements of the route, even if you begin your course online before traveling to the UK in person. This is a fantastic opportunity for international students that will help you with your first steps into employment after graduation.
When you apply for a Graduate visa, you’ll need to:
- pay the £715 application fee
- pay the healthcare surcharge – this is usually £624 for each year you’ll be in the UK

Previous Update
Home Office head of Student Migration Policy, Paul Jeffrey, confirmed during the Universities UK conference that it is highly likely that the new regulations will apply to those students who graduate from the summer 2021 onwards. So, If your Bachelor’s OR Master’s degree ends after Summer 2021, you will be eligible for Post-study Work Visa for the UK. Similarly, if your Bachelor’s OR Master’s degree ends before Summer 2021, you may not get the benefit of PSW.
To be eligible for PSW of UK, graduates must have completed a degree at an undergraduate or a higher level from an institution OR University with a track record of compliance with the Home Office’s immigration rules.
With Post Study Work, Students will have an opportunity to stay and work or search for work, in the UK at any skill level for a maximum two years period. Graduates will also be able to switch into skilled work once they have found a suitable job. The official name of PSW is UK Graduate Immigration Route. Please don’t get confused if you hear any either of the name. UK Government announced the creation of a new graduate immigration route on the 11 September 2019. However please remember, students starting course in Jan 2020 OR after will be eligible for the Post Study Work Visa. So don’t rush for earlier intakes. Only Few Overseas Education consultants like us will advise you on such important points to consider.
